Course Description: This course will primarily focus on Homer's two important and popular poems, The Iliad and The Odyssey, and also on Vergil's Aeneid (all in English). We will discuss Homer's and Vergil's techniques of composition, the beliefs and values of their respective societies, and the influence of Homer on Vergil.

Prerequisite: A lower division Classics course or consent of instructor.

GE credit (New): Arts & Humanities, World Cultures, and Writing Experience.
