LAT 100 Readings in Latin Prose
This is the intermediate Latin course, designed for students who have taken our LAT 001-002-003 sequence, or its equivalent. It functions as the bridge to our other upper division Latin courses. The aims of the course are to improve reading skills in Latin and to make the transition to reading authentic Latin (in this case, the Life of Hannibal by Cornelius Nepos). The first month will be devoted to a comprehensive review of grammar and morphology. There will be almost daily quizzes and/or worksheets on the readings, as well as midterm and final exams.
Prerequisite: Latin 003 or the equivalent.
There is no book order for this course. All materials, including a course packet, will be provided.
