Call for Student Artists: Classics Department Advertisement Competition
The Classics Department invites students to submit original artwork for use in advertising our courses. Did Word Roots spark your curiosity about Latin or Greek? Did Greek, Roman, & Near Eastern Mythology pull you into a world of gods, heroes, and monsters? Have you ever been captivated by Homer’s epics, Virgil’s poetry, or the strange wit of Lucian? Design original artwork to showcase your favorite Classics class and inspire your peers to take it! Selected works will be featured in the Classics Department advertising across campus with full credit to the artist.
We encourage all students to participate and help shape how Classics is represented across campus!
What to submit:
Original artwork (digital or hand-drawn) inspired by the ancient world, including themes such as mythology, history, archaeology, languages, or cultures of Greece, Rome, and ancient West Asia (formerly the ancient Near East).
