Senior Research Associate

I retired from the University of Michigan in 2019.  My research interests are centered on archaic and classical Greek literature, particularly archaic epic and classical tragedy.  I study especially how Greek literature represents Theory of Mind (people's thoughts and beliefs about the mental states of others) and how Greek literature makes motive attributions (what people believe about why they themselves and others do what they do).
